    Default My One And Only...

I bought this razor 10 years ago from Cutlery World. Unlike the other Cutlery World razors though mine is not branded with their logo. It is a superb shaver and I stopped using it because
    1) No Youtube or SRP forums to show me how to use it properly
    2) my stropping technique sucks and I dulled the blade.

I held onto it over the years and plan to put it back in action again when I get to the states and can send it to Lynn for a honing. I also need to get a new strop as my old one got lost in the move from maryland to the Philippines 3 years ago. Yes I'm just showing off lol, but then again I've seen more beautiful razors than mine on here.

Side Note: I was good friends with the manager of the store that sold me this and she told me that these "no name" Solingens are actually made by Dovo as "apprentice" blades. Don't know if it's true or not but I do know this is one high quality blade that has kept nice though the years (I made sure I oiled it before storage).

Welcome! As you know by now, there is a plethora of information both printed and video on everything from stropping, shaving to honing and repairing and restoring straight razors.

The pictured razor is quite good looking and should give you a lifetime of great shaves. However, it does look lonely!

So, when are you returning to the states?

Yes he's lonely and I think he'll be getting a brother this summer depending on how the Salmon runs are. I'll be back in the US in April in Jacksonville, Fl if anyone lives in the area.
