    Default Chinese character translation?

I won an interesting Elliot on the bay earlier this morning and was wondering if anyone might be able to provide some insight as to what the Chinese characters on the tang roughly mean.

I work with a Chinese lady, if no one has answered by Monday I'll get her to read it for you.

We got a rough estimate translation in chat. probably equates to "good quality" more or less.

It's hard to read the first character clearly, but it looks like "絕好調," something like "fine tuned" or "top-notch". It is the traditional characters, so it makes it hard to get a translation here. Local, simplified equivalent would be "绝好调". Of course, it could be something totally different given that the first character is pretty illegible.
