Congrats!, and enjoy, be sure to dry it well when you are done using it. Feel free to ask if there are any questions.

    Default Great razor

I have a good size collection of razors, and I must say the Dovo is the best razor for the money. My classic Dovo that I payed $65.00 for out shaves my $265.00 Thiers Issard. Dovo's in my opinion are the workhorse of razors.

    Happy Shaving

I love this razor. Just finished my first shave with it. One thing that I will mention is that the feel of it is way different that the disposable stra8 that I have been using. I can really see now what everybody means by a disposable being overly sharp and how that coating that they put on it makes it glide. The Dovo feels more sturdy, is easier to controll, but does not seem to be as painfully sharp against my skin. However, the disposable seems to cut a little smoother and not tug as much. but the dovo is more comfortable.

    Default My New Dovo

    My dear Zalazch,

Congratulations on acquiring your first straight razor. That is such a great feeling.

I have always like the Dovos. My first razor was a Dovo, I believe the same model yours, and it turned out to be a good shaver. Now I have more Dovos, as well as other brands.

I dare say, more Dovos lie ahead for you, as do Wackers, Thiers-Issards and a parade of other glorious straight razors.

    It's a great life.

    Regards,

    Obie

Just got the same one in blond yesterday shaved well for my first time. I'm sure the razor is capable of more than I am at this point.

    Nice razor
