    Default My first swede!

So I wandered into one of my antique shop haunts and found this Luko Solingen for a song. The scales are beginning to show some nics from where the toe drops in too much, and the edge at the toe ramps up too much from bad honing technique I think. If these are the way these blades are made, someone please correct me. Lots of black splotches to be removed, but can't wait to shave with it, I like the shape of the heel and the grind transition into the shank. I've read lots of good comments on the solingen razors, but can't recall anything specific to Luko, would greatly appreciate any background and or experience with Luko. Sorry for the fuzzy photos, seems to be my specialty.

Much to my chagrin, just noticed Germany stamped way out on the end of the tang. Guess my search for an actual swede is still underway.

Just curious Since the scales are embossed "Solingen", what other markings led you to think it was Swedish made? But, don't give up your quest. You will be pleased when you find the Swede. Good luck.

    Regards - Walt
