    Default Today's Score.

So I picked up another Wester Brothers "Anchor Brand" today. Measuring in at a WHOPPING 7/16, it is the smallest razor I have come across. Ivory scales, no chips, scratches or cracks. Blade stands open on it's own and seems to have minimal, even hone wear.

Also grabbed a George Wostenholm IXL that I should have some pics up for shortly.

Yesterday at work I was given a kick ass vintage Craftsman toolbox in PERFECT shape. My boss said that he didn't want it, as the paint was worn off. His words were "it's shot..."

Should hold my resto supplies nicely!

It's pretty nondescript, actually. Stamped Geo Wostenholm & Son over Sheffield Eng with IXL to the left of the stamp. Good, plain scales with a lead wedge.Blade centers well and gets good and tight around 90 degrees. I traded this for an unnamed unstamped razor that I got from a very generous forum member who helped me get started with straight razors. It was really chromy looking, and really shiny. The guy that I got this Wosty from liked shiny things, I guess.

"Hey Buddy, I will trade you this shiny new razor for that old dull one- deal?"

Yea! Wosty! She'll clean up nice. Look how minimal that hone wear is. Great trade.

Yep, the hone wear is almost nonexistent. I am going to try to leave the patina on this one, as I think it adds to the feel of it. There are some scratches along the edge that I might try to clean up, but I am not going to mess with this one for a bit. I did, however, start cleaning up that Geo Savage razor. Sooo Weeee is that gonna be a slick 'un...
