Thread: Will the real Dovo Ebony please stand up?

Hi,

A friend of mine and I were comparing razors-- we both have a Dovo 5/8 round point with ebony scales. I bought mine about a year ago, he bought his a few months ago. As you can see, the actual blades are different. My razor (on top) has a larger tang, and has "Dovo Solingen" and "Made in Germany" etched on the tang, while my friend's razor (on bottom) has a thinner tang, and "Dovo Solingen/Made in Germany" looks painted, and is in a different font.

Are these both authentic Dovos? If so, when did they switch blade stamps?
