    Default USA made Boker?

    Hi Guys,
Have any of you ever seen or heard of a USA made Boker? I read about the history of the company on Böker - Your Knife Made In Solingen but have never seen a razor with the "made in USA" on the tang. Until today when I cam across one for sale.
Your thoughts would be appreciated on if it is the genuine article.

    Cheers
    Scott

I have a Robeson with a tree logo on the tail. Read that Boker made razors sold by Robeson when Robeson started selling straights. I forgot the exact year that was bit it is somewhere in the 1880's, maybe 1887. Sorry, this is the only pic I have on hand.

    Default USA Made Boker?

    Hello, Joed:

Thanks for the historical information on the Boker and Robeson connection. Most interesting. I love the barber's notch on that razor.

    Regards,

    Obie

Somebody says "USA made Boker", and Joe pops up with a Robeson with the Boker tree on the tang. Really, you would have to see just a portion of Joe's collection to appreciate this. Plus, he notices and remembers the tree; I stand in awe.

Joe is just a little passionate about razors.

I just bought this one, from a lady who says it was amongst things left by her late father. As you can see by the celluliod wraping which is disintergrating it was brand new or at least only used once or twice.

Anything anbody can tell me about it would be wonderful as I have told you everything I know about it's history.

I do know that H. Boker immigrated to this country and initially imported and sold razors made at his family's factory in Germany. It would make perfect business sense that at some time he would find an American made razor he liked and sell it as well. Money is money both then and now.

Here is another Boker USA. Wish I knew more of the history of the Boker USA razors. No idea when this one was made, but I suspect post WW2, maybe even in the 1960's.
