Default new owner of a griffon carbo magnetic

so i was looking for a nice vintage straight razor and stumbled onto a griffon 60 this is my first of many im sure it is supposed to be shave ready but i may have it looked at before i put it to use

and ill admit i got it off eprey but not after doing some research i feel $50 shipped wasnt too bad a deal for the shape it is in.

now on to read and learn about maintaining the old throat slitter

The Griffon Carbo Magnetics are very good shavers.

I've heard great things about Griffons, and if Lynn says she'll be great I believe it. If you post the name of the ebay member you bought her from, you may find another member who has bought from the same person and may get some insight as to whether or not the razor will indeed be shave ready (some ebay sellers have great reputations here for their honing).

Either way, all that matters is that you're happy with your purchase, so congratulations!

Some were made in Germany, and some were made in Sweden; all are good shavers, of the ones that have passed through my hands. Love the Griffon logo!

I've got one. I've never used it, though.

Yeah, I was surprised to discover that.

It required a bit of sanding to remove some tarnish, and as I was working on it, the tiny particles of metal that were removed would stick to the razor.
