Are there different Wapi's

Are all Wapi's 11/16 with a 1/4 ground or are there two different Wapi's. I seem to remember someone talking about Wapi I and Wapi II and there being a difference. I can't seem to find the post so if anyone could let me know where it is or if you could let me know if there are different Wapi's, what the difference is and how to spot the difference. Are there any indication in terms of the stamp on the tang? Thank you!

AS far as i know . there is 3 of them out there.
1 st is original made by France
2 nd is wapi 1
3 rd is wap 2

French one is the finest one. quality wise but next 2 is same quality but different size. if i am not mistaken

I wonder what the difference in size between the final two are? Would anybody be able to tell me which one this is?

The Wapi II is full hollow and, I think, square point, but I don't know about the size. Of the Wapi's that are quarter hollow, French point, I have seen unstamped, SFK stamped, and the stamp shown above. I have no idea what the different stamps mean or tell you about dates/quality.

As far as I know, the one you showed (french point, quarter hollow) is the second one Sham referred to, the Wapi I. But, then again, I didn't know there was a French made version, so I could be wrong. I thought they were all Polish and that there were only two variants: quarter hollow with french point and full hollow with square (I think) point.

I think for a pretty good price. Since this is my first ebay purchase and I've been looking for a 1/4 grind to try and heard good things about the wapi i am pleased. The stamp in the tang is a bit messy and I wondered whether those who do restorations etc would be able to tell me if there was a way to clean that up, it looks pretty permanent. What is it? (That corrosion on the bottom of the stamp. Thank you.
