Default GOTTA Hamburg ring superfine 120

Made with "Finest silver steel forged and ground in Solingen - Germany"

Judging fom the lettering and plastic container, as I bought it nib from a knife shop in Brescia, Padania, (Northern Italy), an iteme forged from teh sixties to the eighties.

Hollow ground with traditional methods, as there are very fien grinding marks that can be only the result of hollowing with water powered grindstones (I'm a hobby/research blademaker who works in a traditional shop in Brescia, I have such a grindstone myself and I have watched some interesting documentaries about the traditional german method).

The last of such shops is the Balkauser Kotten in Solingen, here our shops are used only for living history demonstration, even if they are in full working order.

Must have been finished with a wooden wheel covered with a strop, onto wich a layer of grinding paste had been glued.

Just tried my first shave. Only a very small drop of blod, far less I get from bad quality regular modern razors. Some stubble remained where once a goatee was, as here my beard grows stronger.

    BTW

What do you think of the price? 80 euros new.
