I have two 4/8s and a 9/16 and enjoy using all three of them in my rotation. In fact, my Globusmen 4/8 is probably my favourite razor of the dozen I own.

I'd advise anyone to try out a 4/8 wedge (Spike etc) - I think you will be very pleasantly surprised at their ease of use and shave quality - totally different from the big stuff.

I recently picked up a 3/16 Wester Brothers that I can't WAIT to hone up and try. Maybe I could talk you into swapping the two 4/8's for an 8/8? I mean, six one way, half a dozen the other, right?

Thanked: 234Use quite a few 4/8s razors. I like them, you may not. They're not as easy to use IMO as larger razors, esp around the chin area (for me) where I have quite dense growth. How ever this is something I have more or less got over.

I've got a 3/8 seeing some good action these days. I missed out on a 4/8 W&B 1/4 hollow a few years ago and have been kicking myself since. They have their place.
