Default Anybody know about this razor?

This is a razor I bought about a week ago without knowing much of anything about it. It is an Electro and it is stamped "C.E. Burgans, Oakland" on the other side. I haven't been able to find any information on this brand and/or whether this razor is worth the trouble to have it honed and otherwise made shave ready.

Any information or opinions are most welcome.

I looked at my Goins & Standard Guide to Razors & found nothing. Guess what? This means nothing as far as how good of a shaver it could be. Have it honed, then you will know what it is worth. This may not be what you wanted to hear, but it's the truth. Clean it up a little and send it out to be honed & get back with us...

That looks like a perfectly good razor from the photos. Shooter is right. Send it out to be properly honed. You might be pleased...........

I'll opt for the truth any day! Thanks for the information... I think I'll do as you suggested and give it a try.
