Onterio Cutlery Company,Geneva,NY, consulting the Geneva City Directories 1907,1928,1971, do not list Onterio Cutlery.Can any members add information which may help locate the elusive historical whereabouts of the company?.

according to google books, the company (Ontario, not Onterio) is listed in a NY factory inspection report as existing in Franklinville, NY in 1903 and 1904

Thanks for the Franklinville information.The archivist from the Geneva Historical Society which is located in Ontario county did not find Ontario Cutlery in the 1907,1928,1971 Geneva city directories.Each municipality in New York State must maintain a historical archive,I will check with Franklinville,Thanks.
The suggestion that Ontario Cutlery may equate with Ontario Knife is an interesting one, Susan Green from Ontario Knife has had that question on her desk now for several weeks,time permitting and with successful research on her part,we are awaiting a definitive answer from her to that very question: Have Ontario Cutlery co. and Ontario Knife co. ever been historically related?

I spoke with Bruce and Maggie Fredrikson each respectively the town and village historians of Franklinville,NY.Discussing that factory report with them coupled with their authoratative historical familiarity of the area.It is their opinion that Ontario Cutlery Co. of Franklinville,NY,is now known as Ontario Knife Co.
