tiny razor
found this little guy in an antique store awhile back thought id see if any of you know what this were used for, it was marked as a "salesman's sample". i just thought it was kinda neat, didn't cost me much $9 so i figured why not,
it's 4 1/4" when closed and 6" when opened it marked Clauss fremont.0. on the tang. the scales are one piece. i have know idea what the age of it is. thought it was cool! it does seem to have a "Chrome" plating of something along those lines.

The shape of the blade looks interesting. Have you any closer pics of it?
Could it be that the blade has been shortened? Those scales look beautiful as well, but it looks like they are much longer than the blade itself.'That is what i do. I drink and i know things'

Your razor is a "corn razor" used for cutting the corns off of peoples feet.

gonna have to say in my "expert opinion"(take with a handfull of salt) the blade has not been shortened any, when the blade is closed the tip of the blade passes where the wedge would be by about 1/4". thanks for the info guys

Couldn't asy. I've never even held one of those corn razors, but that one looks like it might actually work. Most of them have curved blades not suitable for shaving, but tha seems to have a proper edge and all. Only way to know for sure is to give 'er a go.

i'll guess what i have to do is clean it up and try it out then seems reasonable that it would be a travel razor. thanks for the info all!
