i just got my RAD fix today, its been a long time since my last fix, anyway i got a jacques lecoultre frameback with 2 extra blades in very nice cond. it also has the finger reliefs on the shank, just wondering if i should polish up the black horn scales or not. would that polishing devalue it??

You could try just brushing the scales with neatsfoot oil. I find it really brings them back and makes them shine. If that's not what you are looking for, you can sand/buff after.
