Thread: schumate antiseptic barber-flea market

So i was in a flea market and found this little sucker. it says SCHUMATE ANTISEPTIC BARBER on the tang and looks to me to be full hollow and just about 4\8 i think but this being my first straight razor purchase that may be a little off

If you look at the third picture from that angle it seems to be a wave pattern in the blade is that ok? if you look at your blades like that do you find something simmilar?does that mean its not useable?from other angles and tests it seems straight.

So please tell me what ever information you have on this and if it is any good and worth the 14$~ i payd for it which i dont think its all that much for it anyways (if it can be brought back that is)

AND how do i do it??? get sand paper and get at it? do i need to remove scales? if so how to do that and put them back together please spare no detail because i am not netting anyone else do anything for me on this one

Im so hyped about my first straight even if it may never shave again
