HA! I think I have the dreaded RAD licked!
Could have picked up a really nice, very clean Wester Brothers that is the perfect match to one that I have today for about $20. I have drawn the proverbial line in the sand though, as I have 13 razors, four of which need scales. I think that a Baker's Dozen is where I need to stay. If I aim to get any more razors, I need to get rid of the same amount first. No need to be a hog, right? I was rather proud of myself. I did, however, pick up an old National Resonator 12 fret acoustic guitar. If I could find 12 more of those, I would be doing just fine...

A baker's dozen is 15 in my neck of the woods and I would never sit still for 13. I ain't superstitious but it could be bad luck. So go back and get it + 1 more. I had a 1930 National style 0 about 30 years ago. Knew I should have hung onto it.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Everyone has RAD, not everyone knows it yet.

You've got to bring it up to 14 that way you have 2 seven day rotations.
Saves wear and tear on your razors.

I think 49 would be a good start. That way you would have a seven day set for each of the seven days. But that is just a good start of course.

A HOG, sir? Are you implying that anyone who owns more that 13 razors is a male of the swine persuasion? I take umbrage at that remark, sir. If I were in your vicinity I would send a second to caress your cheek with a gauntlet and throw down a challenge to meet at dawn on a field of honor. You have impugned my character and sullied my reputation. And I feel the need to defend my honor as one who possesses more than 13 measly razors. I consider myself a connoisseur of the razorsmith's art, who collects wonderful examples of this trade. If 14 razors equals one hog, then I sir, am the equivalent of an entire sounder of swine and damn proud of it! I will expect a written apology, sir. Or you may find me on your doorstep with rapier in hand anon.
Regards - Walt

If you had 52 and only shaved on Sundays you could go all year and never use the same razor twice. Think razor longevity.

I think I might have jumped the gun. I came across what looks like a 7/8 round point "SOLINGEN" stamped razor that I might grab. And might go back for the Wester at some point. I guess I am just trying to convince myself that I don't necessarily HAVE to buy a razor just because it is there. In my mind I am buying these razors to ensure that I don't run out. Again, only one of the 13 that I currently have is even close to shave ready. I need to find a good hone or two, then assume the role of razor hog once again.
