    Default What material would you say this is?

    A friend sent me these photos asking what sort of material this is. Would plastic have that sort of pitting rot like that?

    Yeah that was my first inclination too. Just so hard to tell without being able to touch it. There seems to be a little bit of grain to it though.

    I have seen it in certain animal ivories but its very minimal when it appears. In plastic I have never seen it.
