    Default Three razors

I stoped in an antique store this morning and found these. Really good bargin too. The green one is a C Mon and says Carl Monkhouse New York on the tang
The blond safety razor is a Curleys Ideal Pat 1884 New York
The one with black or green scales, can't tell which is a Diamond and the blade is etched Hollow Ground, Fully Warrented price $3.00 with a diamond around the price.
All are in really good shape with hardly any rust and none on the edges.
They had about 30 razors but a lot were beyond help with too much rust and the edges rusted away. They have one other I want later that is a no name and is like new. It is near shave ready.
    I'm a happy guy.

Sweet Cmon. The black scaled one looks great too. You did real well.

I couldn't get a good pic of the blade etching on the one with the black scales. It is really quite clear, just not deep. More like photo etching.

I want to report that I have cleaned up the three razors and sharpened the C-Mon.
It is the best razor I have ever used. I took and edge like you would not believe after much honing and stroping and shaves like a dream. I went three days without shaving and it was almost like I had no whiskers when I shaved. It is now my favorite.

Nice C-Mon, very pretty scales and the blade looks perfect. Were there any other tang markings at all on the Diamond?

It says Diamond razor co on the tang on one side the other side is blank. the blade has a diamond like a baseball diamond with The Diamond price $3.99 inside the diamond. On the left side of that it says extra hollow ground and on the right side fully warranted. It is photo etching so it would not stand polishing but doesn't really need it. The other side of the blade is blank with three small spots. It is a nice blade. I have removed the scales because they are just plain black hard rubber. Send me a pm if you are interested. I really wanted the C-Mon and the safety straight.
