    Can't say that I have...

Since they came free with your Merkur DE razor, try 1-2 of them for a couple of shaves, then use a Merkur blade for a couple of shaves and report back to us.

back when I tried DE shaving for a while, I wasnt a big fan of them. there are several kinds though - I think Platinum are the best. but I will say that they are reasonably well-regarded. they are made in Egypt.

The Merkur that i used first worked wonderfully. I put in a Lord blade, and holy razor burn batman.
I'll try the higher grade lord blades next, but man i know what you guys mean when you say that all blades are not created equal.
I'm not even gonna go near Feather blades for a while.

    Salazch,

The choice of blades for DEs is very personal.

Very much a matter of one persons meat is another persons poison !

A blade sampler pack is a most useful thing to have.

I found Merkur blades to be OK; Lords very not OK

I rarely use a DE these days, but when I do I use Feathers, Astra Superior, Russian Gillette 7 o'clocks & Iridium Supers.

    have fun !

    best regards

    Russ
