Flea market finds... history/prices?
I admit, I haven't run a search on them yet through here.
Just thinking I should actually check out what I found 2 weeks ago and am about to send off for repairs & honing.
9/16" from spine to edge,
tang stamp "T.S. Bluenose"
6/8" from spine to edge (with some beautiful weight to it)
"the hamburg ring" on blade
tang stamp:
joseph rodgers & son
cutlers to her majesties
no 6 norfolk street
sheffield
england (curved around the end)
5/8" (ish) from spine to edge
"king cutter" on blade, in gold lettering and graphic
tang stamp:
(boker tree icon, sideways)
h. boker & co
soligen
Not seeing any recent king cutters with the gold printing on the blade, nor with the same tang stamp. No idea on the other 2 for any info.

Pictures might be helpful if possible. The Rodgers is normally post c1890 due to its having England stamped on it and the Boker can be roughly dated from the form of the tree, theres a table of the different forms somewhere in The Boker Brotherhood Razor Club as well as much other useful stuff, well worth a trawl through if only for some nice razor porn. T. S. Bluenose says nothing to me (other than the name makes me smile).

Members cant offer public valuations, though you may be able to get some advice via PM.
Get a copy of this book:
Standard Guide to Razors: Identification and Values: Amazon.co.uk: Roy Ritchie: Books
Its very helpful for getting an idea of values!

AlanII:
My digi cam sucks for macro. Might have to see about borrowing a work one for the weekend. I posted pics in my intro thread, but just of the blades. I'm shipping the 3 off to Butch (Harner Knives) for cleanup and honing on monday.
Boker looks like the one here, but has a chip in the tip.
According to the quick list Doc posted, that's 1924-1935...
Even have the box for it (in rough shape of course).
Guess I'm off searching for info on the other.
Stubear:
Thanks for the tip on the book. I'll stop in to our 2 larger bookstores to see if either one has it in stock. I'm just trying to figure out 1: how much of a steal they were at $10 and 2: what they're worth for insurance puposes. I've got a sizable knife collection with a few rare ones in it.Last edited by vampyrewolf; 03-05-2010 at 01:59 PM.

I've got a Boker King Cutter with the gold lettering on the blade etch on the belly of the blade. If you want to get an idea of prices completed items on ebay is a good barometer and so is keeping an eye on the SRP classifieds as well as the buy/sell/trade sections of other shaving forums. Ten bucks for a decent Boker is a steal AFAIC.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Upgraded my digital camera today, it was a long time overdue anyways (5mb point and shoot).
Hopefully these pics help to place them. Ah, the joy of digital... 6 good pics from about 50 taken.
