4-Razor purchase opportunity
Ran across a seller - not sure if this is a good deal or not. What think ye?
Geneva Cutlery - yellow clear handle
Colonial "The Improved Eagle Razor" brown horn handle
True - Edge Deluxe - yellow translucent handle
F. W. Engels Perfection - yellow handle
all 4 for $75 or will sell individually.
(yes, that is the only picture I have available)

Thanked: 74Looks to me like there is hone wear on the razor on the far left, and maybe on the yellow/orange handled razor on the bottom right.
You have to ask yourself if you buy the lot are each of the razors worth 1/4 the total? If not, are the good ones worth enough to pay for the bad ones?
It just my personal preference, but based on what I see in the picture, I would probably pass. I try to spend no more than $30 bucks on a razor, unless it is in fantastic shape. But, that's just me. Your method may vary.

I am partial to Engels razors for their great shave quality. That one looks good! Dunno about the others.

The purchase price individually for each of those razors on Ebay will be about $15 including postage. But, very often less than $15. $60 total. The one with tip hone wear should cost less. I can't see how much rust is present. So, assuming rust is not a problem and the scales and pins fit well and track true, $60 is the high end of what I would spend. Personally, I would offer $40 and maybe come back up to $50 if they all (with the exception of the excessive hone wear one) were in good shape.

The questions that you have to answer for yourself are what do you want to do with these razors, and how much money can you afford to loose learning?
The picture is worthless, you cannot tell anything about the razors, except that there are chips larger than 1/8 on them.
So, in my opinion, unless you can get better photographs you should decide based on your answers to the first two questions.
