    Default Help Identify razor please!

Hey guys, I have a Friedr. ERN & co razor but I haven't seen one like this before. It is very ornate and says "Damocles" The number on the back is 3000. Was Damocles a line of their razors or an individual product? Was it higher end, or did they have an even better lineup? Here are the pics, enjoy!

EDIT: I am in the process of refinishing it, that is why the finish is a little screwy! I bought this at a pawn shop for an embarrasingly low price! If buying at a pawn shop or other similar place, ask the person who looks least likely to know about razors then you can get some good deals!

I can't give you any information on the history but that is one fine looking razor. Congrats on the find.

There was one on one of the German boards, but that was a few years ago and the picture links unfortunately don't work any more. The accompanying text says:

John Walter's 'German Cutlers, Toolmakers and Metalsmiths', which covers a period from 1871 to 1945, mentions Damocles too and states it as a Friedr. Ern brand (only).

Here's one without mention of Ern, but branded Stiletto on the tang:

If you want to sell it please contact me.

A little info about Damocles on the off chance someone doesn't already know:
