    Purist or not. Nice job.

    I once had a W&B engraved. The guy wasn't happy me when he realised it wasn't a softer steel. It can be done but looks different to an etch.
    Seeing that your customising, different isn't a bad thing.
    Haven't used Micarta but someone who has might chime in.
