    in heel side of the blade there is no hone touch hone wear is only toward to the tip.

    I've seen a number of old Bresduck/Bresnik razors with this done on the spine... I think it is manufactured.

    Could be on the owner end, too... a lot of these were sold to barbers, and as I've read a lot of barbers like to mute the end of the razor.... so it is a mystery. I am by no means an expert!
