After shaving for 45 years, I've finally been bitten by the bug to shave with a straight razor.
I recently bought a G.H. Pumacker "Black Diamond" to learn the ropes with, but a friend provided me with an opportunity to buy a razor that I have been taken with for some time... The Hayashi Diamond.
One of the reasons this razor attracted me, besides it stunning beauty, was the fact that the blade is made of Üddeholm Steel, the same tool steel we used almost exclusively in my 40 year career as a Tool & Die Maker.. A connection too strong for me to pass up.
So, here is a poor quality picture of the Hayashi Diamond, in purple along with my new Tony Miller Heirloom strop..

I guess I'm on my way...
