Thread: Thinning razor

hey guys

wondering if anybody out there can give me any advice on thinning razors. I bought one for my wife to try (as if she doesnt play with her hair enough).

Any tips, tricks, general knowledge, tecniques? Anything? cant find anything on these.

Can u share on what one you bought?( i have a pair of thinning sheers but not a thinning razor, dont know if there the same thing or not) i cut my own hair and it is really thick and the sheers help a lot.

I believe in use they are just like thinning shears. Hone it up just like any razor. Tell her to be carefull!!!!! Nice looking blade. congrats. Also, they are used for much finer work than thinning shears where you lop off gobs of hair.

Yeah, as Mike says, those are for pro barbers back when the 'razor cut' was in vogue. They are not really suitable for shaving if I am not mistaken.
