Default Before I do a classified ad here..

I have a box full of straights, one's that I've decided I probably won't restore or anything as I have plenty of those reserved for that anyways. So before I post to classifieds, what exactly do people want to know about the razors as far as descriptions etc? Obviously pic's and brand...and?

    Thanks
    Aaron

Aaron, you need to have 50 posts IIRC before you can place an ad in the classifieds. If I am correct (I was wrong once before) either put them on ebay or work on restoring then until you have the requisite post count and then you'll make more money when you put them in the classifieds.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

here's a direct link to the classifieds rules

Nice sized pictures are always preferred that show every side of the razor especially if there are blemishes involved. Out of focus pics are a big no-no.

Try to disclose all blemishes and if the razor comes shave ready or not.

Grind, width, cutting edge length, tang inscriptions, hone wear, jimps, brand, company, scale material are some of the descriptions that are important.

The straight razor - Straight Razor Place Wiki has most of the questions I would want to see answered. If the razor is in the SRDB already, you can copy and paste the specs from the box in the upper right hand corner.

    Ok, thanks all...
Yeh I wish I had the time to restore a few first, but sometimes that's just what someone else is looking for.
Hmmm, you all gave me something to ponder on.
