Thread: Western-style Kamisori

Didn't spend a lot of time searching the forum for this info, so sorry if it exists already. Are the newer western-style, folding Kamisori razors (made in Germany) a quality product? Found a guy that has a new Kamisori shaving set for sell for $100, but have only read about there traditional Japanese razors.

From what I've read they're not. Heres a thread that goes into pretty in depth reviews on the razors:

I know its an old thread, but AFAIK the situation hasnt changed and the razors are still not recommended for shaving with.

Of course, if anyone has heard otherwise please correct me!

Thanks for the info. It is the brand discussed in the thread Stubear posted and probably on the "blacklist." Every time I searched Kamisori I got so much stuff related to the Japanese traditional blades that it was hard to sift through, although I was hoping they were related. Looks like this buy is not for me.
