I picked up one on eBay.
It is a 101 RP and has a shorter blade 2-1/2"
Not sure if it's the 101 model that is shorter or if the "RP" designation is what makes it shorter.Last edited by Desdinova; 04-14-2010 at 02:07 PM.

Okay, I read the Brotherhood thread and reviewed the catalogue.
Okay so the difference between a 101 and 101 RP is round point vs square point.
Mine is definitely a square point 101 RP, so I guess someone ground it down after the fact to the shorter length.
But damn, whomever ground it down certainly made it look original. It does look stock, even if it isn't.
And I do enjoy shaving with the short blade. Makes a difference in getting into odd spots on my neck.

I'm not certain about this ,but If memory serves I believe the 301 is a 5/8 round point.

I just checked in my workshop desk drawer that has the blades in the queue to be fitted with scales and there is a boker red injun 301 in there and it is a 5/8 round point. You will like your 102, I have one myself and think highly of it. You'll read in here from time to time that there's razors out there that shave as good as Filarmonicas. Well IMHO this is one of them and fillies are well represented in my rotation.

Thanks for that comparison with the Filarmonicas, Stropper. I'm definitely stoked about the 102. I'm happy to hear that they have a reputation for shaving so well. I have a 4/8 round point King Cutter that is really nice shaver, but too small for my big hands. The 102 will be a welcome addition to my growing collection!
