Thanked: 5Does this W & B look legit?
I was cruising ebay when I found this interesting razor. The seller claims the "R" from Wade & Butcher is missing. Couldn't it be an early copy-cat?

I didn't get much past the $$
I really hate these kinds of auctions "RARE!!!" is another word for fishing for a sucker.
Whether it's a misprint or not that razor is in bad shape.

Its probably a manufacturing defect, but the guy is using it as an excuse to ramp up the asking price.
IIRC, that ones been out there for a while now.

I thought I saw this razor and topic before!
Check it out
Looks like no one wanted it then, but I suppose you could argue that the razor is somewhat "memorable".

Apparently buddy still has no takers.
Just keep relisting it and hoping an uneducated person comes along to nab it.

Its real. 100%. I can see very slight remnants of the 'R' when I zoom in closely.
Why it has gone remains a mystery, similarly to the reasons as to why certain parts of the bow logo etching have disappeared. Thats just the way time takes its toll on razors.
The seller as I am sure you know is ****ing in the wind. Now if that razor were in far better condition however, I am certain he would capitalize on that price.
