Thread: Wade & Butcher

Found at an estate auction last weekend was this Wade & Butcher with a 1 inch wide blade...and very thick....did Wade & Butcher make any razors larger than this? Thanks

Also included was this small Keen Kutter razor...

Very nice find! Congrats! The W&B should clean up nice just with some Maas, not sure about the Keen Cutter cleaning up but it is a good shaver also. If I say W&N didn't make any larger than that one will surely show up, but I haven't seen any that I recall. Get them both cleaned, honed and back in service!!

Nice, very nice I just cleaned up a new purchase. It Cleaned up pretty good I think. I sharpened and shaved with it . I am a newbie so you have to excuse my newbieness Please . She is a Rogers cutlery Co. She is loose and I think I need to tighten her up? And another polishing !!

+1, I've seen them come along once in a blue moon. I've never been lucky enough to score one though I have a 9/8 Joe Rodgers and a couple of 8/8 W&B. Nice razors you've got there.

I've got a couple 8/8 W&Bs and another on the way that's a bit bigger. I thoght I remember someone posting one that was 1-3/16" ir bigger but it might have been something else. They shave great though, especially the wedges.

Very nice razor. I like the horn scales with larger washers. I have one very similar if not the same.
