    Default Razor makers

    Hey guys/girls

I'm a new guy so I don't know but I have a little question here. Does anybody know if there are some other razor manufactuerer of razors that are not in the database? What exactly I mean is that the majority of those seem to be English, German or American. Not that these are bad but Im curious. Are there any Italian, Portugese, Dutch ect? Also what about "toledo steel" it has a lot of history but I've not come across any Toledo straight razors, only swords.
It would seem to me that there is a lot of stuff left out here. There have to be others, no?
    Can anyone help?

The most celebrated maker of Spain is Fillarmonica or Filly as they are often referred to on the forum. There were other makers in Spain and I've seen a few with an Italian marque but I don't know of any specific maker. There were many Swedish makers but I'm not sure about Dutch and haven't heard of any Portuguese razors.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Absolutely there are manufacturers outside of our database. The database is just a listing of razors that SRP members have added. If you have one that isn't listed, feel free to upload pictures and information.

There were razors made from all over. If you don't find a manufacturer in the database try searching the forums and see if maybe someone else started a thread. Someone with more information about manufacturers might be able to cite specific razor brands from the countries you listed.

i've seen a few from toledo. but it's the american, not spanish toledo.
may be they just loved their beards back then and when necessary trimmed them with the swords.

... by the infamous Filly Coti Nani posse, no less.

On a tangent, a search for 'Filarmonica +"Hugo Herkenrath"' just might yield an interesting result. Happy shaving with glorified Friodurs, gentlemen.

There were makers all over the world and many were very small and produced little or didn't last long or were big and produced for others so in the end there are probably more makers unknown than what is known.

I already know of the Wapi from poland and the filly from barcelona or the palmera from madrid and a few swedish but I just figured there had to be something from toledo, which has(or had) a reputation to rival solingen. I cant rercall the brand but ive even seen russian razors. As you guys said there has to be more, but I can only find the regulars on ebay.(such as solingen or sheffield razors) Where could I find some more exotic razors? or just something different?
