Thread: Razor ID- "Made In Germany"?

Like it says, I picked up a razor for next to nothing for it's scales which are some type of amazing black abalone type stuff, but the blade doesn't look bad either. All it says on it is Made in Germany stamped on the tang. It's a 7/8" round point if that helps. I'll post pics later, but any ideas on some makers who only put that on? I guess it could be some cheap production one but it had very light pitting on it so I'm guessing it's got some years on it. Thanks

There were many manufacturers in Germany during the last century who produced razors in wholesale lots and supplied them to retailers all over the world who would then have their own brands or logos put on the blades. It would be very difficult to identify any particular maker since the were all pretty much anonymous. But, if you post a picture someone might recognize some identifying feature. Sorry not to be of more help.

That's what I figured, but I'll get pics up soon. It was worth that $8 for the scales alone.
