Wonder why the words Civil War are always taken to mean the American Civil War..........? This razor could be from the Chinese Civil War. From Wikipedia:

The Chinese Civil War was fought between the Kuomintang (KMT or Chinese Nationalist Party) and the Communist Party of China (CPC).[6] The war began in April 1927, amidst the Northern Expedition.[7] The war represented an ideological split between the Western-supported Nationalist KMT and the Soviet-supported Communist CPC. In the People's Republic of China the war is more commonly known as the "War of Liberation".

It's funny, usually when I do a search in this forum, it takes a long time find what I want. There have only been two posts with the word "moron" in the title. We must all be brilliant!

Oh, and by the way, that is clearly not a Civil War razor. It is obviously a Revolutionary War Razor!
That was a good thread, BTW Ron, I am still waiting on my hatchet(s)!

If you actually said that, you get a Greg's Gold Star for the day.

Well it might be from the Civil War, just not the American Civil War...

    Hello, Greg:

Oh, yes, I said it — with a smile, of course. I think the man was surprised, since, I assume, he was used to spinning lofty descriptions of his stock. We got along just fine, though, and later I bought an old teacup with saucer in quite good shape. I expected him to claim that Queen Victoria once had her afternoon tea in it, but he did not.

    Regards,

I have been wondering a bit about that one
Are you sure its a razor and not an other kind of folding knife/tool?

It seems that's a hotspot for razors. Bin 676 has a lot of potential. Where do they find these things? Are they recycled ebay specials? I don't get it.

There was also a snakeskin scale razor from...Germany? I don't remember.

We're probably too far off topic, but any other good spots around here?

Define "good spot" please. Holli can tell you that I'm just the guy to ask.
