Dovo help....
Hello all, I currently own a Dovo Prima Klang and really like the razor. I was wanting to buy a second razor that is not as "flexible". Can anyone recommend a Dovo Razor that has a stiffer blade?
Thanks in advance

I was about to say the Super Gnome... but that a TI... I don't know of any Dovo's with heavy blades...
Some one that knows Dovo's should be popping in soon.

What about a Boker?

IIRC the Prima Klang is an extra hollow ground, so something like a Black Star or Bismarck would be stiffer as they are hollow ground only.
TI also sell some half hollows and you can also find some wedges or near wedges in the classifieds if you keep an eye out.
My Boker Edelweisse has a fairly stiff blade as well.

I believe that Dovo also makes a 5/8" half hollow "Astral" str8 razor.

So basically I am looking for a half hollow ground blade? I like the Prima Klang, but I would like to try something that seems a little stiffer and does not flex as much if you know what I am meaning. I am a beginner and would like to try several different blades. I want one that is fairly stiff.
Thanks againLast edited by Buckfever4life; 04-29-2010 at 12:02 PM.

Thanked: 1903Anything is stiffer than a Prima Klang ("Best Sound" in German). The PK is a singing full hollow. The Astrale is a hollow, as are most others. The half hollow Best Quality would be the best choice, I presume. Just for the fun of it, here is a list of half hollow ground razors from the SRDB: Grind Half Hollow - Straight Razor Place Wiki.
Happy shopping,
