    Default good Dovo deal?

Been a while since last on SRP but stumbled across what looks like a good deal on - of all places – Bud K knives, idk a DOVO for 66 bucks seems pretty good…. Yea or nah?

By the time you pay $8 shipping, then another $20~ to get it honed. Probably better off just buying shave ready from a different vendor.

Just my Humble opinion... of course I may be thinking of a different razor and it is a good price even with the additional honing costs.

It looks like a good price to me. Must be a discontinued model. I've never seen a new Dovo at that price. As far as honing goes whoever you buy from (with a few exceptions) you will still need to get it honed.

However before you buy check out the vendors who advertise on this site and see if they can match that price.

    Thanks guys,

Yeah I'm probably not gonna get one; it was more of show & tell.
I'm trying hard to get back into straights I've been so preoccupied with a ton of other things; I thought of posting all my razors for sale even because I just don't tend to them much anymore....

it's the black star, it's probably a good deal if you can hone it yourself and not so good if you'd rather send it out for honing, as then you'll end up paying the same as getting one already honed, but have to wait several weeks till you can use it.

It is a black star and if you can hone it it's a great deal. I've bought from them and they don't claim to be a shaving company but I don't know how they can sell it so cheap. I think they sell them to be cool, but you get what you get, you just have to hone it. I did buy a pearlex stainless from them and its one of my favorite razor.

Keep at least one or two just in case. Things change and the bug might bite again and it will save you having to buy them all over again.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

+1 on that and at that price (unless they sell at a loss) it's likely bankrupt stock etc. Nothing wrong with that, they are good pieces wherever they come from.
