Default Levering Razor Co The Artist

This "The Artist" Levering Razor Co. with "Hamburg Ground" on the reverce tang.

Not sure if the Hamburg grind is the same as the french point or not but I got 2 "Artists" and they are both different. I did a search and see only round points and obviously made of carbon steel. This one has given me a run for my money and has fought me at every turn... I than started to notice there is no rust one this thing... none... and the dark spots that are there seem to be on the surface not like a patina but a rubbing...

I'm begining to fear this bugger is STAINLESS!!! Can anyone shead some light on this issue?

Could this be the nickel finish that the "Standardized Barbers' Manual" of 1928 warned us about? (Thanks Ignatz!)

I think you hit that on the head, that was my first thought "odd looks like an oxidised nickel" lol and YES IT'S PAIN IN THE ARSE!!!

Off to the back of the drawer for future tinkering... It feel light and thin so I'll see if the other blad I have from them is the same after I finish all the other goodies
