I can't make out the maker's name, but it appears to be a vintage Solingen blade so it should be, at least, a very good shaver. There are a few companies that made a "Barber's Choice," so the maker would tell more than the model.

Per Goins, 1887-1939 The Schmachtenberg Brothers had an import agency in NYC, with manufacturing in Solingen Germany.

It also shows 4 different images of trademarks, with years, that they would place on the back of the tang, when they were contracted make make knives of someone else. The customer's name/company name would be put on the front.

I have the same type of razor that I found at my mothers house. Here is the weird part: My grandfather is Bob Will of Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys. I believe the razor to be his when he was a Barber in Turkey Texas in the early 1930's but have no way of authenticating it.
