Thread: Really cool new RW straight razor

So, for some reason, this information is posted over at B&B but not here. The razor is so cool, I thought I'd copy the link and share it here.

Robert Williams has apparently created a new line of razors that he is selling. The razor is like a Japanese kamisori, but with the blade profile and geometry of a regular, Western straight, which means that both sides of the blade can be used for shaving. Basically, it's like a very minimalist, well-balanced Williams razor but without the scales to get in the way.

Anyway, I had to order one, and it looks like there's still a few left on Robert's website, so if anyone is interested, they are available.

Definately a cool razor, and is a great blend of Eastern and Western styles!

Sorry bout that, false alarm. I don't generally read the "custom razors" forum and assumed that if Robert had posted anything about it, it would be here.

Wow is all I can say. This is not making my life mentally and financially any easier... Would love to hear a shave report when it gets to you Jeff.

I definitely will, although it's not supposed to be ready for 60-90 days. Hopefully I will win the lottery between now and then!

Also, I just noticed that you are located in Taipei! Such a great city!! I travel there once in a while for business, but not as often as I like. Anyway, glad to see that you are on this site, and I hope I get to hear more about what you do in Taiwan.

Haha.. sorry really bored at work today so a little bit quicker on the draw than usual.

Try www.customstraightrazors.com. I just went there, and it's working. Also, I don't mean to be "pushing" someone's products here, so please don't take the thread the wrong way. I was actually kind of surprised that RW had any of these still available, given that he's only making a limited number, so I only wanted to share the good news with my brothers here.
