just be careful with that spot of rust 1/2" from the tip as it won't shave for sure and may be painful.

Congrats. It's also cool to see an example of where the gold plating actually stops on the tang. It seems as though on some of the vintage gold plated tang razors the gold was all the way across the top of the spine and on the tip of the razor. Not so with the Goldedge then.
