Sanitizing a Razor?
I have several friends who want to try straight-razor shaving but balk at the initial expense. I have a couple of nice razors I could lend them but I'm wondering about the sanitation problem. We are talking blood here, and viruses as well as bacteria.
I know this problem must have been solved by anyone regularly selling used razors.
What's the best way to sanitize a razor for use by another person?

Thanked: 4942The hot water and drying should really be OK, but I normally dip razors in Mar v cide which is like a Barbacide after the hot water and drying and before the oiling and sending out.
Mar-V-Cide Liquid Disinfectant
Have fun,

I can tell you from 1st hand experience that putting your razor in well meaning but unqualified hands is asking for trouble. The road to hell is paved with good intentions.
