Thread: Bourgade-Tarry Thiers France?

Hi guys I am a new member and have recently become a part of this interesting guild. I have also recently acquired a straight razor which i would love to have some information on. The razor has 42 Garantie Paris stamped on one side of the blade and HB520 in an oval stamped on the other. It came in a tattered box which after i took a rubbing of the indentations i have determined that on one side of the box it says. Bourgade-Tarry Thiers France and the other is incomplete but i could get endless C_ _ ina? Does anyone know if this is the original box or does anyone have any information of the razor itself.

I have exactly the same razor with the same stamps but unfortunately i have no original box. At first i thought that the blade must have been narrowed but obviously not as your razor looks exact the same as mine.
Please let us know how it shaves.
