    Default My Razor is Named...

    Howdy all,

    hope you're all having a greats day so far. I've come to realize that we all care for our razors and other shave gear so much that we treat them like a member of the family. So my question is do these razors of yours have a name?

    Or am I the only crazy one that gave mine names? So far my razors are named Michele, The King and Woody.

    My razors arent named now, but when I started they were called "ouch!", "ah, crap" and "dammit!".

    And my alum block was called "Sheeeeeeeeee-yut!!"

    Hehe!

    What made you decide on the names you picked?

    Haha yeah when I started I had similar named. A bit more vulgar but similar lol.

    Well the names were pretty easy to choose.

    Michele is a henckels friodur 5/8 named after my fiancé who gave it to me as my engagement present to me.

    The King is a Thiers Issard 6/8 named so just because it's the best razor I have and gives me amazing shaves

    And Woody is a restored heckeles 5/8 platinum that I bought of eBay. I just named it woody cuz of the wooden scales it has.

    As you can see nothing real special but I like the names none the less

    I gots too many to name them all but a few have references that my son and I use for razors that have some significance like the Pope's razor, the Father's Day Razor and the Chinese razor. There are a few others I just can't recall at this time but nowhere near a pet name for each of them except for the Robeson 'Our Pet'.

    yeah i guess people with bigger collections would have a harder time giving names to their razors. also i guess it takes time to forge a relationship with a particular razor and then to take the time to nickname it

    Nina (Simone/C-mon)
    Das Dovo
    The Rose

    I've only named one, and that is informal. Triple Nickel is what I call a 6/8 Livi Takeda Damascus. The reason should be clear.

    I'm too polygamous to remember the names of all, but Glen named one of them for me FGTH - frankie goes to hollywood.
