Default Time for a little honesty

Because I was stupid - I bought my first straight on impulse before (gasp!) reading the WIKI and it wasn't shave-ready. Just had to buy a shave-ready from Lynn so I wouldn't have to wait for the first one to arrive so I could send it to Lynn to hone.

Because the price was right and it's the first razor I've won on the Bay in about a month or two.

OK I admit it, I just didn't want to seem so obvious. You know there's a fine line between an enjoyable pastime and an addiction (kind of like the line between unbridled brilliance and insanity)

nessmuch, dont scare the poor man off, next thing you know he's gonna be walking down to the seedier side of town, walking up to people and asking if they have a straight razor for him to buy. Either that or pulling up to some street corner wanting to buy them

RAD it does a man good. better living thru aquiring more razors

At one point (recently) I was down to only 2 straight razors. Then I bought a very nice 6/8 Bismarck Registered at an antique store because I liked the size and condition of the blade. I followed that up with another 15 razor purchases in the following 10 days. The main reason for purchasing them was I liked the overall quality of the selections after searching through several hundred at this source and the shop keeper sold me all 15 for under $15.00 a piece. I felt that if I decided to sell any of them in the future, it was likely that I wouldn't lose a dime because of how reasonably I purchased them in the first place.
