Default Memorial Day; Army Mug and Flag Razor

I hope all of you have had a safe and reflective Memorial Day, in honor of all those in military uniform who gave their lives, so that that we can enjoy our freedom, in safety. Here is one of my most precious possessions; it is a US Army Medical Corps mug, which has the caduceus and motto of my service as an Army medic in the 1960's. We care! I have included an F.W. Engels "Over All" razor which has American colors on both sides. It is also a favorite!

Great looking items. An appropriate shave on one of the most important days of the year.

Default Army Mug and Flag Razor

    Hello, Croaker:

The shave mug and the razor are priceless possessions, indeed, and keepers.

As a Vietnam veteran, I have only a few items remaining in my possession: a Pentax camera, a tiny can opener and a bandanna I wore around my neck for wiping jungle sweat.

    And plenty of memories.

Here is a big solute to those who gave all.

    Regards,
    Obie

Thank you so much for posting this today. It would be nice if Memorial Day lasted year round.

BTW - the American Flag on the razor in that last pic looks suspicious

I don't even have a P38 or a do rag left, just the memories, and they are all of people I served with, some didn't make it back.

Yes, there was not enough room for all the stars and stripes, so there are just 5 stars. No extra stuff, or I would never have posted the picture. You don't mess with our colors!
The reason it is upside down on the back of the razor is so the flag will point in the same direction on both sides. Nobody told the F.W. Engels crew you can't fly the US flag upside down, I guess, but I think it was an honest error trying to achieve uniformity.

Very nice razor and mug. It's great that these items hold a special place with you. Thanks for sharing and thank you for your service!
