Thanked: 14Wester Bros.
I bought this razor the other day. I am not able to find this model anyplace on line. It is either a no.1 ot no.7. Shaves nicely but I will probably send it to be honed. All I know is that the maker went out of buisiness in 1967. Anyone have an idea of value?

Sorry, but we dont offer appraisals here on SRP as the value of an item is very subjective.
The best way to find out a value is to list the item on eBay and let the free market decide what its worth.
Thats a nice razor though, and I'm glad its a nice shaver. I'd only send it to be honed if the razor is not shaving well, or if you have doubts about the edge. If the shave is smooth, close and comfortable with no pulling then its probably Ok as it is now..!
Hopefully some other members will be able to chime in with more information on the history of your razor.

Wester Bros made good razors IME and I have a number of them. For value on any razor simply do a search on ebay for the specific item. When the search results come up they will be for 'active items'. There will be a menu on the left which includes 'completed items'. Click on that and you will be able to get an idea of what the item is going for.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanked: 14Thanks guys. To tell the truth, I really don't care about value. I got a nice razor and it only cost me 15 bucks, lol.
