    Default Small rust spots

I have a bad habit of leaving my razors in the bathroom, and I've noticed some very small rust spots on the blades. Whats the best way to remove these spots?

Try a metal polish like MAAS with a Q-tip. After you shave, rinse & dry the blade with a tissue (carefully so you don't cut yourself) and apply mineral oil to it. Then store your razor outside of the bathroom.

In the bathroom it's likely a result of humidity. The only way to prevent that is to coat the blade, be it some type of oil, tuff glide, or wax. Personally, I'd suggest you relocate your razors to another location, because I wouldn't even trust a coated razor in an enviornment that humid.

Thanks. I used a little Flitz. It removed the rust but left some small dark spots where the rust was. I"m going to go out and pick up some mineral oil this afternoon. The edge looks fine on both razors. Interesting, the rust was worse on my Silver Dollar and barely noticable on the Dovo. I use the Dovo a lot more than the Silver Dollar, that may be why.

I"ll try to remember to store them out of the bathroom -- my bad. Fortunately, except for the bathroom, the climate here is very dry.
