You're not the first to ask this type of question and the replies are always the same. If you re-phrase the question to what do you like best in a razor you may get more details, but the replies will be all over the map. Since you are a newbie based on your question I would suggest purchasing a razor from the suggested makers in the WIKI in a style that appeals to you and start shaving with it after it is properly honed. Then try a few different grinds and sizes to see what you like best. Then go after a high priced razor.
This will help too: The straight razor - Straight Razor Place Wiki
Good luck“If you always do what you always did, you will always get what you always got.” (A. Einstein)

Its the same as going on any hobby forum and asking that question.
What is the best fishing tackle?
What is the best engine for a car?
What is the best long range rifle?
etc
etc
etc
etc
etc
etc
etc
etc
Every month or so another newbie asks this question. Im not hating so don't take this the wrong way, but its about the most subjective question that could ever be asked. Couple this with the fact that very few have tried every possible grind and size, and doubtless any having tried every make!
Yes you may wish to gain opinions, but just read through the forums and you'll begin to see the picture you are looking for.
Remember there is no such thing as the best when it comes to an object that can be made in endless forms.

In my limited experience, my humble opinion says it's a full hollow ground blade of Sheffield steel. And the length of a piece of string is the exact distance from one end to the other.

As you have gathered, these questions have no answer in the abstract.
For me it often is the razor I just used for a great shave. But it is more than the razor.
Like the fly fisher that catches trout on a fly that they tied, there is great satisfaction in having a great shave with a razor you have honed.
The best razor in the world may shave like a butter knife if not honed well.
That said, everyone knows the best razor is the Chronic.
