Thread: Monkhouse identification help?

Here's an SOTD photo of mine (07/05/2008): I call it "Blue Star", but there is no "formal" name or symbol associated with it. The blade is 11/16. The scales are also different; certainly insofar as they lack the "Carl Monkhouse" inlay, which yours has. Mine takes and holds an edge very well, and is a great shaver.

Yours is also a much stiffer grind. Here's one that was recently sold on ebay (in the ballpark of the marble pedestal price too):

I bought mine on eBay, at the end of June 2008, for $104.50

I look forward to seeing your new Monkhouse photos, and am sure that you will be pleased with how it shaves. It looks absolutely great!
